The messiness of social interaction
Spillage acts as a surreal plant-like serving dish with wheel-thrown bowls on each end. As viewers attempt to eat out of the bowls, interact at the table, or move about the space, the piece rocks back and forth, spilling the soup it contains. In creating such a mess, it breaks down social barriers and formalities.
